About the role:
This is a senior leadership role where you will own and drive all group accounting activities — including consolidation, financial and statutory reporting, and technical accounting matters — for a global healthcare organisation operating across 24 countries. Reporting to the Corporate Finance Lead, you will lead the Group Accounting team and work closely with both Diaverum and M42 Group Finance leadership to ensure high-quality financial reporting, strong financial governance and full compliance. You will also play a key role in finance transformation initiatives, driving automation, standardisation and continuous improvement across the Group.
Your responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across the Group.
- Own group consolidation across multiple international entities and currencies, ensuring high-quality consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS and Swedish GAAP.
- Provide technical accounting guidance on complex accounting treatments, IFRS matters and impairment testing processes, including review of assumptions, valuations and supporting documentation.
- Ensure integrity of the general ledger, balance sheet quality and overall financial reporting accuracy, providing clear financial insights to senior leadership and M42 Group Finance.
- Oversee statutory reporting and compliance, including preparation and filing of statutory accounts and regulatory reporting requirements across the Group.
- Act as the main point of contact for external auditors and lead the annual group audit process.
- Own and strengthen the Group's internal control framework, financial governance processes and accounting procedures, working closely with internal auditors
- Lead, develop and motivate the Group Accounting team and finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing finance culture across the organisation.
- Drive finance transformation by improving group consolidation systems, reporting processes, automation and standardisation, and support the implementation of M42's group-wide finance platforms and reporting tools.
- Build strong relationships with treasury, regional finance teams, business leaders, auditors and Group stakeholders.
About you:
You are a hands-on finance leader who combines deep technical accounting expertise with a passion for building robust processes and developing high-performing teams. You thrive in international environments and enjoy working across cultures, bringing structure, clarity and continuous improvement to complex financial operations.
Required experience & skills:
You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, and bring 10+ years of finance experience, including leadership and management of senior finance professionals. You have deep expertise in IFRS, technical accounting, group consolidation, impairment testing and financial governance, along with proven experience coordinating external audits and managing statutory reporting across multiple jurisdictions. You possess a strong systems understanding and hands-on experience with ERP and consolidation/reporting platforms. You communicate fluently in English, both written and verbal, and you are comfortable working in an international environment across cultures and time zones.
Nice to have:
You hold a professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) and have previous experience in healthcare, renal care, or multi-site/international service businesses. You have led finance transformation projects, including system implementations and process automation, and you are familiar with Swedish GAAP and Nordic regulatory requirements.
