We are looking for a Deputy Head Nurse (m/f) to join our Lumiar clinic, supporting the Head Nurse in coordinating the nursing team, organising care and continuously improving quality and safety.
What we offer:
- Gross monthly base salary of €2,100;

Key responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care across the different care settings within the clinic;
- Ensure the implementation of quality and safety standards based on the best available scientific evidence;
- Document nursing interventions promptly and accurately, and report incidents;
- Promote patient and family empowerment, patient autonomy and adherence to treatment;
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families;
- Promote coordination across different levels of healthcare;
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and research programmes and projects;
- Contribute to the training and professional development of other healthcare professionals;
- Support the organisation and management of the nursing team’s work, helping resolve care-related and organisational issues;
- Support clinic management and the coordination of teams and clinic projects;
- Deputise for the Head Nurse during their absence.
Requirements:
- Degree in Nursing and a valid professional nursing licence;
- Specialist nursing qualification in an area relevant to the role;
- At least two years of experience in dialysis techniques;
- Previous experience in leadership, shift supervision and/or team coordination;
- Fluency in Portuguese;
- English language skills (preferred);
- Knowledge of quality management systems (preferred);
- Strong skills in leadership and people development, initiative, critical thinking, decision-making, communication, conflict management and teamwork.
