ABOUT THE ROLE

 

As a key member of the Management Team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the HR strategy, talent development, employee relations, and compliance with local labour laws , ensuring alignment with global HR standards 🌍 and company goals.

 

Reporting to the Country Manager Spain, this is a hybrid role based in Madrid (headquarters near Chamartín Station) and requires between 20% and 40% local travel.

 

💡Strategy & Organization

 

  • Set up/develop a business-oriented HR strategy including measurable activities and support development of the organizational structure together with the CM
  • Drive the strategic direction of the country together with the management team and act as an ambassador and change agent to make sure that the Diaverum culture and values is a living reality and a competitive advantage
  • Represent HR in the Management Team of the Country.
  • Represent ES in the global HR team and actively participate in continuous improvement projects in HR.

 

👥 Operational HR

 

  • Be a visible, present and hands-on contact person for senior managers, employees and line managers.
  • Be a subject matter expert in labour law
  • Provide a HR tool-box to enable clinic managers to be “people managers” and ensure that tools are used and standards followed.
  • Support line managers in daily HR activities such as recruitment, candidate selection, employment matters,  exits, compensation and development.
  • Supply and coordinate HR Services in coordination with clinic managers related to payroll, labour law, contractual matters and the administration of employees.
  • Ensure and administrate local and global HR processes: Recruitment, contract of employment, pre-employment checks, new employee orientation, satisfaction surveys and appraisals.
  • M&A - Attend due-diligences and ensure that acquisition targets, tender proposals and new contracts are properly assessed from an HR perspective. Support acquisition process and lead HR operational transition.

 

📊HR Controlling & Reporting

 

  • Long-term and short-term personnel planning. Initiate necessary steps to ensure personnel is attracted, recruited and retained. Timely install necessary activities to overcome any shortage of caregivers.
  • Take part in budget planning processes as responsible of labour cost figures.
  • Drive labour efficiency initiatives together with Operations and Finance.
  • HR Controlling / reporting: Lead the workforce by measuring, reading and reporting HR related data.

 

🛠HR Processes & Tools

 

  • Create, implement and monitor policies and procedures in accordance with the corporate policies.
  • Provide the necessary HR tools as per business requirements.
  • Ensure all managers and employees are well informed about all HR procedures. Among others create employee manuals and new employee information packages where all relevant information is contained

 

🚀People & Organizational Development

 

  • Organizational Design – Design and formalize a business-oriented organizational structure together with the management team.
  • Identify and organize training and development activities.
  • Define and oversee the local Employee Orientation Program, so that new staff is integrated into the Diaverum structures, culture and values.
  • Drive Succession Planning Process for Management and key specialists
  • Implement global annual appraisal process which ensures that targets are set, performance is evaluated and the necessary training and development activities are identified.
  • Actively participate in restructuring activities and identifying optimal organizational solutions that support the overall business needs and strategy.

  • Define and strictly apply an annual compensation review process, based on market benchmark data, performance results and applying the grandfathering approval principle.

ABOUT YOU

 

You have 8-10 years of experience in HR across multiple disciplines and a proven track record in leading change within multilevel organizations. Your strong business acumen allows you to align HR strategies with company goals, and you have an in-depth understanding of Spanish labour law and and payroll processes.  . You have worked in an international environment 🌍, and if you have experience in the healthcare industry, that’s a big plus. You hold a university degree in HR, Finance, or a related field, and you are fluent in English. You are comfortable using MS Office and other HR tools to support business operations.

 

You are a customer-focused HR leader with strong relationship-building skills 🤝. You take a hands-on approach, ensuring HR strategies are not only well-designed but also effectively executed. Your communication, listening, and coaching skills allow you to support both employees and managers, creating a positive and productive work environment. As a change agent, you have the ability to lead HR transformations and integration processes, making a real impact on the business. You have a continuous improvement mindset, always striving to optimize processes and enhance the employee experience.
