ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are looking for an Accountant to join our Finance team at Diaverum’s headquarters in Malmö. Reporting to the Finance Manager, Diaverum AB in this role, you will independently manage assigned accounting tasks, applying your experience and professional judgment while knowing when and how to seek information internally or externally. The position will support head quarter entities that are providing services such as finance, HR, procurement, cash managment and funding.
You will contribute to high-quality financial reporting and accounting processes, adapting to new routines when needed and helping shape efficient ways of working in line with internal policies and Swedish GAAP.
Role objectives and main responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting and prepare and collate monthly closing and reporting for the internal treasury company and three, transaction wise, smaller holding entities
- Support the treasury team with reconciliations
- Maintenance of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Handling of AP-, payroll-, tax and ad-hoc payments
- Liquidity planning and follow-ups for Diaverum AB entity, including preparation, review, and updates of monthly and weekly liquidity forecasts.
- Communicate with and review various tasks handled by IBOF (Integrated Back Office) located in Hungary and Portugal
- VAT reconciliation and filing (including EC-reporting)
- Assist and participate in drafting the Annual Report
- Assist with monthly documentation of intangible assets
- Act as back-up for payroll administrator and participate in training of payroll processes
ABOUT YOU:
Must have:
You bring 3–5 years of experience in a relevant accounting role and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a relevant Vocational Higher Education (Yrkeshögskola). You have a solid understanding of Swedish GAAP and applicable accounting regulations, and are proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel. Strong Swedish and English skills are essential, especially in finance and accounting contexts. A team-oriented mindset, curiosity, eagerness to learn, and the ability to adapt in a changing environment will help you thrive in this role.
Nice to have:
Experience in group accounting within an international environment is a plus, along with knowledge of intragroup and external financing, as well as cash pool structures. Familiarity with digital finance environments and software for annual report preparation will be advantageous. Previous experience in payroll, including preparation and review, is also valuable.
