We are seeking a talented Global Tax Specialist to join our team in Diaverum´s global HQ located in Malmö. If you have a passion for tax, a keen eye for detail, and a desire to make a difference, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

The position is reporting to the Director Global Direct Tax & Diaverum Corporate Finance Lead.

 

Main responsibilities

The main tasks are to ensure high professional standard in the group’s tax operations. This includes to define and drive the tax strategy alongside the Director Global Direct Tax & Diaverum Corporate Finance Lead, raising awareness and knowledge of the Group and support subsidiaries with complex tax matters. This pivotal role will be responsible for overseeing overall tax issues within the group, ensuring compliance with regulations, and driving strategic tax initiatives.

Further responsibilities include:

 

  • ­analysis of the reported tax positions of the Group in connection with the monthly closings.
  • ensure that all entities within the group are tax compliant.
  • partner with key operational stakeholder and external tax-advisors to ensure that decisions in the group are made with tax and cash implications fully taken into consideration
  • coordination and handling of the tax matters for the Swedish legal entities including the yearly group contribution calculations.

 

The position will work closely with Group Accounting, Business Control and our Legal function to ensure that appropriate tax inputs to the planning and budgeting process are made, tax effects are compliant, recorded correctly and in line with applicable accounting standards.

 

Your profile

You have 5+ years’ experience gained within either an international business or top-tier accounting firm with a relevant university degree.

Further, we want you to have technical experience including Swedish corporate taxation, international corporate taxation and tax compliance. Experience should also include international transfer pricing, and tax accounting according to IFRS. You have ­experience of dealing with both Swedish and international tax issues, e.g double taxation relief and treaty analysis and tax audits.

 

Fluent English and Swedish, both written and verbal are required for this position. ­Experience from working in financial group reporting systems is an advantage.

 

Your personality

We are looking for someone mature, responsible and competent. You need to be able to communicate technical tax information in a way understandable to stakeholders from a non-tax background, with strong attention to detail and with a ‘hands on’ approach whilst also being able to work at a high-level. If you are able to work independently and you are comfortable with handling external advisors and suppliers, you are our candidate!
