Vice President Finance

Diaverum AB, part of the M42 Group, is seeking a seasoned and results-driven Vice President Finance to lead the finance function for Diaverum AB, a legal entity within the M42 Group of companies, focused on renal care services.

Based in Malmö, Sweden, and reporting directly to the CEO, the VP Finance will oversee all finance-related activities including accounting, tax, treasury, and statutory reporting.

As a member of the management team for Europe & LatAm, this role will play a key role in driving financial performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making across Diaverum operations.

About the job

This role partners closely with CEO for Diaverum and the management team for the M42 business in Europe and Latam. The role has direct management of head of tax, treasury and group accounting.

The role has direct management for around 12 persons where 3 is direct reporting. The role also lead global finance directors, in dotted line reporting. 

Your responsibilities (but not limited to):

• Overall leadership of senior finance team responsible for accounting, tax, and treasury.
• Business Partnering and act as a key finance partner to clinic and regional leadership, delivering analysis and recommendations to support patient care and operational efficiency.
• Provide financial modeling and decision support for strategic initiatives, investments, and cost management.
• Set clear goals, foster a culture of high performance, and support continuous professional development.
• Promote strong collaboration across finance teams in all our countries
• Deliver clear financial insights to senior leadership and the group.
• Overview annual budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking processes.
• Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors and ensure successful, timely audits.
• Ensure internal controls, financial policies, and group governance standards are implemented and adhered to.
• Together with the team drive improvements in finance systems, processes, and reporting accuracy.
•  Etc.

The role serves as a core member of the management team and reports directly to the CEO for Diaverum. The role is placed at the headquarter in Malmö.

The position also involves travel to our subsidiaries. 

Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Solid experience from a senior executive financial position
• 10+ years of finance experience, including leadership of senior finance professionals.
• Strong knowledge of Swedish tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of IFRS and Swedish GAAP.
• Proficiency with ERP and financial reporting systems.
• Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written is required. 
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as an ability to work both strategically and operationally.
• Previous experience in healthcare, renal care, or multi-site/international service business is highly desirable.
• Diaverum has a complex group structure with subsidiaries in 24 countries and with an acquisition-intensive environment. Therefor, experience and understanding of similar structures and environment will therefor be highly valued.
