About the Role:
Assumes a twenty-four hour responsibility for managing the human and material resources of the clinic in the best effective way in order to provide a proactive, safe and quality patient centered care in an environment which encourages staff to grow.
Key responsibilities:
Management of staff
Provides assistance to staff in accordance with the goals of the organizational
▪ Conducts timely performance evaluations for each staff member.
▪ Appoint suitable staff to all necessary clinic assignments.
▪ Counsels employees and advises Head of Cluster of appropriate actions.
▪ Makes staff schedule changes to adjust for patient acuity levels and adequate clinic coverage.
▪ Advises and informs staff about implementation of Clinical Policies and Procedures.
▪ Keeps the Head of Cluster and Clinic Manager informed of problems or personnel issues.
▪ Promotes open and participative communication among staff.
▪ Maintains a flexible schedule to be available to staff members.
▪ Provides a climate in which staff can readily participate in change or innovations.
▪ Plan and support the integration of new staff.
▪ Responsible for new Employee Orientation, probation period and renewal Evaluation.
▪ Evaluates together with clinic mentors and assistant Head Nurse all new medical staff after probation period.
Management of the Clinic
Controls and directs the clinic to encourage quality patient care and staff satisfaction
▪ Work as part of the Facility Management Team in accordance with policy.
▪ Develops safety, cleanliness, and security standards for the clinic, responsible for the clinic Infection control programs.
▪ Regularly evaluates and monitors the use and replacement of equipment and supplies, meaning responsible for:
▪ Supplies ordering.
▪ Stock control.
▪ Evaluation of new products.
▪ Training on new products.
▪ Promote Diaverum product strategy.
▪ Uses supplies and resources in a cost-effective manner.
▪ Maintenance of water plant, monitors and all other medical- as well as other equipment.
Management of Care
Coordinates and sets standards for the delivery of quality care
▪ Assists with the development of, and provides input for clinic specific standards.
▪ Ensures the utilization of quality assurance standards and protocols.
▪ Assigns patient care according to patient needs and staff capabilities and qualifications.
▪ Supervises and evaluates the quality of care through patient rounds and specific quality assurance projects.
▪ Serve as a member of the Quality Management Committee.
▪ Actively participate in the Quality Management Review meeting and follow-up.
▪ Reviews, approves and analyze incident reports.
▪ Involvement in clinic audits and in ISO certification and other quality certification processes.
Management and Communication
Interacts effectively with patients, family and staff to maintain standards of professional care to patients and families
▪ Demonstrates sensitivity to cultural and religious beliefs through a caring, respectful attitude, presentation and delivery.
▪ Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills using recognized medical terminology.
▪ Promotes positive working relationships within the team.
▪ Facilitate and support the integration of new patients.
▪ Ensure patients receive the appropriate information and that the Patient education programme is implemented.
Educational Responsibilities
Promotes professional growth and development of nursing staff
▪ Provides input to assist in identifying the learning needs of staff.
▪ Participates actively in the process to coordinate on-going professional development of staff.
▪ Responsible for the planning of continuous staff clinic education, the yearly in-service schedule.
▪ Assumes responsibility for own learning and development needs.
▪ Acts as role model for all staff.
▪ Ensure implementation and supervision of the d.academy Nurse Education program.
Qualifications:
Education
– Registered Nurse, Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Experience
– Minimum of 5 years’ experience in dialysis
– Minimum 2 years’ experience as Head Nurse Assistant
– Successfully passed a Hemodialysis Training Program
– Certified in BCLS and preferably in ACLS
– Certified and registered with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.

Languages
– Good communication skill preferably both in English and Arabic
