Position:

For our HQ office in Rome, we are looking for an Accountant (maternity cover) to join the Finance team.

Responsibilities:

• Management of monthly accounting closings (accruals, deferrals, cash pool entries, etc.)
• Execution of journal entries
• Management and accounting of expense reports
• Monitoring of costs related to accounts payable invoices or new contracts: correct allocation to profit centers or cost centers
• Reconciliation of suppliers and transitory accounts in general ledger
• Support for Finance colleagues and Area Managers
• Administrative follow-up of certified emails (PEC)
• Consultation of the Italian Revenue Agency website
• Execution of supplier payments and various tax payments

Requirements:

• At least 2/3 years of experience in a similar role
• Proactivity, precision, and ability to meet deadlines
• Competence in cost and profit center accounting
• Knowledge of fiscal matters such as: Withholding taxes, Certificazioni Uniche, Form 770, Registration Tax, VAT codes, recipient tax regimes, stamp duty, government concession fees, TV license fee, and chamber of commerce rights
• Experience using company ERPs and internet banking platforms
• Knowledge of English
• Proficiency in accounting software
• Advanced skills in Excel
