The Position:
For our HQ office in Rome, we are looking for a Junior Controller, whose main focus will be the planning, analysis, and control of labor costs (employees and consultants). The role will participate from the outset, with increasing involvement, in FP&A and reporting activities related to other aspects of the business.
The resource will report to the Business Controller, who in turn reports to the CFO, and will join a dynamic, informal, and empowering team.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain a constant relationship with the external payroll provider to ensure the correct construction and allocation of employee-related costs
• Collaborate with the Operations and HR departments for the correct preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts related to personnel costs (employees and consultants)
• Manage monthly closings with a focus on the personnel costs of the clinics
• Update provisions for contributions and performance/incentive bonuses
• Analyze differences compared to the budget/forecast and identify the main deviation factors (vacation, overtime, bonuses, etc.), monitoring key personnel cost KPIs
• Define and implement methodologies for personnel cost reporting
• Create monthly reports to monitor KPIs (Headcount, FTE, vacation, etc.)
• Provide ongoing support to the business through increasingly in-depth ad hoc analyses

 

Requirements:
• Master’s degree in finance, economics, management engineering, or similar
• 1 to 3 years of experience in the controlling area of structured companies (knowledge of salary dynamics, contributions, etc., is a plus)
• Strong knowledge of Excel
• Excellent analytical skills
• Good knowledge of English
• Planning and organizational skills
• Teamwork attitude
• Proactivity and flexibility

 

Nice to Have:
• Knowledge of payroll accounting (contributions, vacation, permits, etc.) is preferred
• Experience in preparing a labor cost budget is a plus
• Having worked in complex environments, with work organization based on shifts and ratios for volumes, is a plus
• Previous experience in audit (Big4) is a plus
