Location: UK (National travel required)

Typically 2 days work from home and 3 days Clinic travel.

The Role

As our Health & Safety Manager, you will take the lead in ensuring the safety of staff, patients and visitors across all Diaverum UK clinics. You will develop, implement and embed robust health and safety systems, driving a proactive safety culture and ensuring full compliance across all sites.

 

Key Responsibilities; include

  • Provide ongoing expert advice and support to clinic teams.
  • Drive proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with H&S legislation.
  • Support the Health & Safety Audit Programme.
  • Conduct unannounced audits across UK clinics.
  • Analyse audit outcomes to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Deliver key training sessions
  • Support fire and emergency evacuation drills every six months.
  • Review and enhance business continuity plans.
  • Analyse incident responses and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain a robust accident reporting framework.
  • Support clinics with investigations and coroners’ preparation.
  • Analyse trends and drive accident‑prevention strategies.
  • Lead practical fire warden training.
  • Ensure compliance with fire safety requirements.
  • Participate in the Domestic Water Safety Group to mitigate water‑related risks.
  • Support the review and development of H&S policies and procedures.
  • Advise on safe clinic design for new site developments.
  • Support clinics in managing risk registers and assessments.
  • Ensure effective processes for fire safety and water safety risk reduction.

 

 

 

What We’re Looking For

 

  • Experienced Health & Safety professional (ideally in healthcare or multi‑site environments).
  • Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation.
  • Confident trainer with excellent communication skills.
  • Trained to NEBOSH General Certificate standard or equivalent
  • Training Qualification
  • Willingness to travel across the UK.
